How would you like your child to be a Wembley winner in front of millions of viewers all over the world?

In a great new competition, two lucky children from this area could be player escorts for the Community Shield clash between Premiership Champions Manchester United and FA Cup winners Portsmouth on August 10.

Not only will the winning youngsters walk out with the players, but they will also meet 1966 World Cup winner Sir Geoff Hurst.

The prize includes tickets for the game for each winner plus a parent or guardian, transport to Wembley Stadium and hotel accommodation.

Youngsters will also receive their own team kit and rucksack with water bottles and other goodies.

We want mums and dads to nominate their child to win this fabulous prize. Maybe they’ve had a fantastic football season and deserve a treat, or do they need a special surprise for having an unlucky season?

Here’s your chance to make your child’s football dreams come true.

To enter, mums and dads need to nominate their child by text.

Simply send a message to 80360 starting it with the word SHIELD followed by your child’s name, age and address.

Texts cost 50p plus standard operator text charge. Service provided by Newsquest Media Group.

But hurry! The competition closes at midday on Monday.
