Flats plan is delayed
PLANS to demolish a derelict church and build luxury apartments on the site has been turned down by Bolton Council.
Westgate Developments wanted to pull down the church, in Hardman Street, Farnworth, to make way for 10 flats.
But members of the council's planning committee said the design for the apartments was out of keeping with other homes in the area and refused permission.
