PEOPLE flocked to a wartime memorabilia day to have their military collectables valued.
War enthusiasts attended the valuation day at Longsight Methodist Hall, Longsight Lane, Harwood on Saturday to listen to the expertise of Bill Holden and two fellow valuers.
Mr Holden, aged 50, from Heaton, who is also a Bolton Council highway's inspector, spent six hours examining tin hats, uniforms, daggers, and swords.
He said: "It was a good day. A lot of veterans are passing away at this time and their families are wanting to value items to know their history and how much they are worth."
One of the highest valuations of the day was an Empress of India medal, valued at £450.
Mr Holden, a keen collector of wartime items, holds the valuation day three times a year plus an annual exhibition at Bolton Library in November.
He said: "Anyone who wishes to have an item valued or put on display during this year's exhibition should get in touch."
