Business is booming for a young beautician who has opened her first salon and training academy.

Alicia Ziane, 22, opened her salon on Tonge Moor Road in Bolton on April 1 and has had an influx of people travelling from across Greater Manchester and Lancashire to have treatment.

Alicia, from Manchester, says she has run her own beauty business since she was 16, and after finishing university she decided it was the perfect time to open her own salon, AGB Aesthetics Clinic and Training Academy.

Alicia said: “I have always run the clinic working from home while I was at university to keep costs down.

"And then coming to the end of last year when I was finishing university it was just such perfect timing to go hard with the business because it was going so well.

“And after deciding I wanted to open my own salon I got into the training side of things and that is what has been the real big push is to be able to teach other people and help people out.

“Since opening we have been so busy, it has been good. We have done a couple of training courses already and we have been working to get our diaries full.

“It has been good, and we have had a lot of interest from people walking past as well because at the back of us we have this community health centre, so we are just getting lots of walk-ins.

“We had a successful opening week, and we were all really busy in the shop and now we have a steady client base coming in and we just really want to build that up.

“Our goal is to also offer services to local people as well because I have noticed there isn’t many salons up this side, so we would really like to be accessible to everyone in the area.

She said: “A lot of my clients are from Bolton, Chorley and Preston so I thought in terms of middle ground, Bolton is in between everything.

“I just feel really good, it is such a good achievement because I am only 22 and I have opened this salon on my own with no other support really.

"I do have family and friends who support me, but I have no business partner or anything.

“It has been really nice to see it come to fruition especially because I have had the business since I was 16 and I have essentially worked from home, so it is a nice progression.

“Everyone loves it and have said it is really clean and clinical but also seems cosy and welcoming and that is the vibe I wanted to give, like a spa feel.”

The business offers a variety of services and training courses.

Alicia said: “We offer a range of non-surgical aesthetic treatments, we have a girl here who does tattooing, we have a lash and brow technician, a nail artist, we do advanced skincare, and the other big side of the business is the training courses.

"I offer training for beginners up to advanced therapy.”
