The University of Bolton's Vice Chancellor was presented with a special painting of himself by a talented artist and student.

The oil painting was crafted by student Jamiu Oyibo.

A delegation of Student Union presidents, past and present, delivered it to the Prof Holmes, including current president Uchenna Moses and former holders of the role Boluwatife Esther Oyesola, Ansh Sachdeva and Nihit Tiwari.

Members of the Students' Union Board of Trustees Ian Savage and Alicia Danielsson, along with the General Manager, Janet Galligan, were also at the special handover.

Uchenna  said: "The gift, a breathtaking oil painting crafted by our talented student, artist, and entrepreneur, Jamiu Oyibo, served as a tangible symbol of the strong bond between our students and the University of Bolton.

"This gesture, kept entirely secret from the VC, transcended traditional feedback channels like NSS surveys.
