A popular Halloween tour through Victoria Hall will return with even more spooky facts as visitors are taken to The Vaults in Market Place for a special Victorian ‘Spooky’ Lantern Tour.

Transporting Boltonians back in time for one night only on October 31, the walk will reveal the history as guests walk through Victoria Hall through the former graveyards and out into Velvet walks, an historic of the town.

The tour will be end in the depths of Market Place where a new well has been discovered and people will have the chance to stand at sites where murders were committed.

The tour will be led by expert spooky guides, delving into the history of Bolton, with never before heard stories that promise to spook.

Alongside the tour, the Market Place Shopping Centre are hosting a range of Halloween events.

Launching on October 28, the Halloween Selfie Scare Box invites shoppers to capture a terrifying selfie.

Market Place will also be launching the ‘Where’s the Pumpkin?’ competition with social media followers tasked with identifying the store where the hidden pumpkin is located.

Are you a fan of the popular TV show Wednesday?

Market Place is on the lookout for the best recreation of Wednesday’s dance or the most convincing Wednesday impression.

To stand a chance to win a £100 voucher, aspiring dancers and Wednesday lovers can share their dances and looks in the comments section of the competition post on Facebook or send them directly to the Market Place account on Facebook and Instagram.

The competition closes on October 31, and the winner will be announced on November 1.

Finally, the Market Place will have a line-up of entertainment on October 28 and 29, starting from 11am and continuing late into the evening on The Patio.

Musical talents include Kallea Music, Arecu5 Band, Reckless Romance, and Amy Corcoran and spooky dances will be performed by Base Dance Studios.
