£90,000 watch is a knockout for Amir

AMIR Khan has joined the designer elite - by investing in a must-have designer watch which has an incredible 3,000 diamonds.
The Bolton boxer, aged 20, has revealed that the timepiece set him back "£90,000 plus".
Amir, who sported his new watch for a celebration of the Spirit of Sport statue in Bolton on Sunday, says it is from American jeweller to the stars, Jacob & Co, and was custom-made to his exact requirements.
Jacob watches have adorned the wrists of some of the world's most famous showbiz names, including Madonna, Sir Elton John, David Beckham, "It" girl Paris Hilton and rap sensation P Diddy.
The brand has featured on the pages of glossy high-fashion magazines across the globe, making designer and founder, Jacob Arabo, the man to go to for celebrity jewels.
The New York-based jeweller grew up in Russia and moved to the USA at the age of 16 He enrolled on a jewellery course and in 1986 opened his business and began designing products under his brand, Jacob & Co.
In the mid-to-late 1990s, many music industry icons were taken by Arabo's unique creations.
Personalities such as Whitney Houston and Mary J Blige recommended him to a host of their friends, spawning a buzz throughout the music industry.
Amir's new status symbol is his most expensive buy - apart from his Lostock home - and shades the £87,000 he paid for his other superstar accessory, a customised BMW M6 convertible.
London-based stylist, Ceril Campbell, has dressed stars for the red carpet and penned celebrity style secrets book, Discover the New You.
She said: "Amir's watch is very cool and on-trend. It's the status symbol of the moment.
"He's bought into a sorority of celebrity wearers.
"Jacob owners are not shy and retiring people and the watch really says something about them, their style and their success. And, of course, it's full of bling."

Guess what......it still tells the time.
Got my own home and children that are professionals through education.
I'm working class and very proud of my heritage.
I don't break the law and donate to charity even though Amir's watch is worth 10 years wages to me.
I will always be the better man .

- Pakistan earthquake,
- Childrens Hospital,
- Charity Dinner,
- Amir has already raised £100k for 'Disasters Emergency Committee'

I am certainly not jealous of watch that looks like it came out of a luck bag on a visit to Blackpool illuminations.
Secondly... Eye witness to what ? it is alleged he was speeding and failed to produce his documents why would the court NEED a witness to that when the police have technical evidence they produce?
I agree Amir CAN spend his money how HE wants but in the same respect people CAN hold a view on such things as he is in the public eye it's all part of why he gets such extortionate amounts of money in the first place.
Don't tell me or others we cannot comment on what he does or stories to do with him because that's what these forums are about.
Finally I know someone who earned £40 million (after Tax) over the last 3 years and they would never be so extravagant as to spend that amount of money on a watch.

never heard of beckham or any of the other people, so they aren\'t so famous! However, I cannot help thinking about how many non-white \'stars\' need to wear a lot of gold, jewellry etc. Maybe it\'s there way of showing they have money to spend at last. Personally, I think this watch is revolting, looks cheap and can still only tell the time, if you know how to to tell the time, that is! My watch is French, looks fantastic, cost about 5oo quid and all the diamonds are where they should be, inside. Now that we know you can well afford it, Amir, why not turn up in court, slow down a bit, grow up a bit and then maybe we will conider you a sportsman; flashy watches just don\'t cut it.
