LOCAL band Drama have a competitive streak - and they're hoping it will help them get all the way to the V Festival.
They are taking part in the annual Road To V competition, and are doing well so far - but still need their fans to log on and help.
"We've only been on the Road To V site for about a week and we're not doing so bad," says singer Ian Gordon. "The top band on there have got about 100 ratings and we're on around 80, so we're doing alright.
"We've had a few of our fans on, but we're just trying to round everyone up to get on there and post comments."
It's not the first time the four-piece have found themselves battling it out for a prize - although last time they narrowly lost out.
"We came second in a battle of the bands competition in Oldham over Christmas," says Ian. "We beat 46 bands in that, but we were a bit miffed to be honest because the band who won, the majority of their set were covers and we're an original band, so we were a bit annoyed.".

They have also been nominated for an Indy Music Award by the Hark 2 Towler venue in Bury, and are hoping fans will also vote online for that.
"We've just got to try and get involved - it's the only way at the moment," says Ian.
"We want to concentrate on Bolton, what with it being our home town, and try and get a fan base here. But while these competitions are available we may as well enter as many as we can.
"And the one we got nominated for we didn't know about, so that was a surprise."
The band, who Ian descibes as "going down that alt-rock, prog route, but quite commercial as well", will play the Soundhouse on April 19.
