A HAIRDRESSING student will represent Bolton in a national hair competition.
Ruby Lomax, aged 19, a level three student from Bolton Community College, won a place in the semi-finals of the National Wella Trend Vision Hair Competition.
Ruby, who works for the Barbara Gregori salon in Bolton, sent in a photograph of a hair style she created with the theme "couture allure".
She said: "When I found out I'd got through, I was overwhelmed."
Thousands entered the competition. The semi-finals will be held in Manchester on May 27. Last year the finals were held in Barcelona.
Ruby's boss, Barbara Gregori, said: We are absolutely delighted for her, she is very talented and has worked very hard. She has our full support."
