Meite stays at Reebok
Wanderers have turned down Ipswich Town's request to take Abdoulaye Meite on loan until the end of the season. The Ivory Coast defender, whose future at the Reebok looks bleak after he refused to come out for the second-half of the Manchester United game at Old Trafford, flew home to France at the weekend.

i hope somehow meite can stay next yr..in ch;ship. mainly thru megson leaving. we know meite was on poor form from the lisbon game so gods knows why he got picked for man u. hunt played well in lisbon, so he was obv choice for right back, and move steinsson to centre back ..which was what happened in 2nd half..and we conceded NO further goals.
meite has been a bit below par at times all season but he is deep down a good player and certainly not a trouble maker. it'd be gutting not only to lose him,... but for a "forced sale" knock down price.
if big sam gets a club job, meite will prob be his 1st signing.

If the reports are true he must go. He deserved to be given a tongue-lashing after his dismal display in the first half against Utd because his mistakes led to both goals.
I don't mind him as a player but if you can't take criticism when you deserve it and don't want to play in such a huge game then forget it.
Likewise, if we don't know the full story and what has been reported isn't true then maybe he deserves a second chance.

Exactly how much did the Wanderers pay for the Ivorian?

i just don't beleive the nonsense about refusing to play in 2nd half. seeing as he made 2 mistakes that led to both goals..why the hell would megson want him out there in 2nd half. ??
big sam chased him for 2 yr's and he knows
a centre back when he sees one

We got him when we fell out with the management at Marsielle, If he wants to dissapear for 2 months in the African Nations and then come back being the big I am then act like that then get rid, we dont need deadwood like that we need players who want to fight for the shirt.

Perhaps if we go down then Gartside will be forced out and a new era of BWFC can begin. An era where fans are not b*llsh*tted to and are only thought of as fickle by the chairman.Didn't see him at OT paying his £39 to watch us.And the treatment of fans in Lisbon spending hundreds to watch the reserves. He remains silent whilst the players and managers can't stop talking to the media. So perhaps relegation maybe the only way we can change the current regime.

I hope it's true, because he will sort the whole club system out and get rid of these so called directors who havn't contributed their worth. He hasn't even been gone a season and it shows the work he had set up behind the scenes is what you need to be successful, all crumbled in weeks. His son can bring in a few players on the cheap with the old brown bag wink wink trick. Something as got to be done and quick, because we can all see it but Gartslime and his ginger coloured spectacles can't.
Bring back Rioch

my view is that if a player is mentally not fit its as good as a calf strain or a hamstring etc. as poor as meite has been this year, he isnt short on experience so maybe he said what he said for the good of the team?
stuff like this can only harm bwfc as meite will now more than likely go on the cheap at the end of the season (if megson stays).
the fact is this sort of stuff should never leave the dressing room and the fact it has makes me think all is not well with the teams "togetherness" and someone within is trying to unsettle things.

so were a better team without anelka then Gary?

He is very poor indeed and it is time for him to move on. Not only does he make very poor errors, he continually gives the ball away when it is at his feet and he is under no pressure. Cap that with an unwillingness to play and it means that he has got to go. The earlier post which praised fat Sam's ability to spot a centre-half should consider two words,'Gerald Cid'. Another of Allardyce's flops.

Why would Bolton ever have anything to do with helping out Ipswich? Is all forgiven with Barry Knight? I think not ! Fredi Bobic will always be the man who paid them back and sent them to where they languish today. lets just hope we won't be visiting them in the league next season.

he showed a complete lack of respect to a figure of authority and must go out as soon as possible....he has had a poor season, and we look much stronger with Gaz Cahill and A.O.B at centre back...also, Campo out after storming down the tunnel at the city match...no player, no matter how good or popular, should do that in a relegation scrap!

We do not have buckets of cash to spend on newies, and those that we'd sell would not bring in a fortune.
