YOUTHS set fire to a skip containing hazardous material in Farnworth.
Firefighters were called to the site of Cherry Tree Primary School in Highfield Road, which is being demolished, at 7.30pm yesterday.
A skip full of building material containing asbestos was ablaze.
The substance is so dangerous firefighters could only stand back and spray water on the fire. They were at the scene for nearly two hours.
Farnworth crew commander Richard Mortimer said: "This is not the first time we've been called to the site.
"I would urge the youngsters involved to stop breaking into the site - they are risking their safety and their health."

The asbestos should have been kept separate and not with other material. Asbestos must be separated when being taken for disposal. Was the demolition people hoping to disguises the asbestos? Farnworth hooligans will always be there as they always have been.
